Scanning Your Environment With An Ecosystem Collection Map

TL;DR An ecosystem collection map is unique because it allows us to completely brain dump into a template, describing things like users, physical objects, desired outcomes, etc. We can then examine these ideas in real life and look for patterns across maps.

  • An ecosystem collection map is one of the most foundational tools to use when scanning your environment
  • Begin filling out your map by using background research on your topic or idea
  • Continue to fill out your map by adding your existing understanding of the topic or idea
  • Examine the multiple view points that are now described on your board to explore your idea even further
